Warm Homes Manchester is a council-backed grant scheme offering air source heat pumps to fuel poor homeowners that need a helping hand. It can also provide a free connection to the gas main if required, ensuring that those in need can benefit from affordable heat and hot water.

The programme is run by AgilityEco in partnership with Manchester City Council, installers and housing associations across Manchester. It is free for eligible households.

It is funded through:

The Warm Homes Fund: a national grant fund of £150 million that has been established by National Grid and is administered by Affordable Warmth Solutions.

The Energy Company Obligation: funding that energy suppliers are required to spend on energy efficiency measures into fuel poor homes.

Private landlords: whilst homeowners and tenants will pay nothing towards the programme, private landlords may need to make a small contribution to the programme in order to have a system installed in their property, should their tenants be eligible.
